Grits Skin Care & Apothecary Workshop

Join Gina for a fun and educational hands-on workshop exploring traditional Southern ingredients and natural skin care. In this relaxed group setting, participants will learn how to create a simple exfoliating skin scrub using Marsh Hen Mill grits while discovering the benefits of natural ingredients for caring for the skin.

Perfect for beginners, families, and anyone curious about simple apothecary-style skin care.

Location: Marsh Hen Mill Farm Pavilion
Day & Time: Tuesdays, 2:00 – 3:00 PM

Participants will learn about natural skin care and exfoliation while making their own 8 oz grits scrub jar to take home.


What You’ll Learn

Hands-On Experience

Each participant will create:

One 8 oz jar of grits skin scrub to take home
A take-home kit box including recipe and instructions
A bag of Marsh Hen Mill grits for cooking or crafting

Instruction is provided by Gina, with over 20 years of experience working with natural ingredients, apothecary traditions, and handcrafted products.


Who Can Attend

Ages 7 and up (children must be accompanied by an adult).

This workshop is designed to be fun, approachable, and educational for all skill levels.

• All attendees must sign a liability waiver prior to arrival
• Classes and no-shows are non-refundable
• Please arrive 15 minutes early

The class takes place outdoors under the Marsh Hen Mill pavilion.

Snacks and drinks are available for purchase at the Marsh Hen Mill Market.
