Hosted by Gina Moore of Pluff Mud Mercantile in collaboration with Kelly Fort of Pluff Mudd Farm, this engaging, hands-on gathering invites you to explore the cultural roots of indigo—from its deep ties to the Lowcountry to its legacy on Edisto.
Set beneath the pavilion at Marsh Hen Mill, this experience blends education, creativity, and connection in a relaxed farm setting.
What to Expect
Enjoy a welcoming atmosphere as you:
- Learn the fascinating history of indigo in the Lowcountry and its significance on Edisto Island
- Discover how to create and maintain your own indigo vat
- Explore unique resist-dye techniques and design processes
- Dye your own table runner or 4 napkins/flower sack towel textiles to take home
- Create elements for a beautifully styled, indigo-inspired tablescape
Throughout the experience, you’ll have time to connect with fellow guests, share ideas, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the farm.
